Slower month at 19 movies (2 being shorts), but had to take some time away from movies due to tired eyes and some dizziness. Early November is probably going to be slow too, and I doubt I'll pick it up as much as late August where I was doing a lot of double feature nights. But that's fine
I was also watching a few TV shows (Monsters At Work, Only Murders In The Building, From), and reading Lockwood & Co.
I started moving my movie collection over from blu-ray.com to here: [[My Movie Collection]]. I still keep my Owned lists on Letterboxd, but wanted to keep the information on the actual releases, etc. Also, might want to do some data stuff later, and having it here makes it easier.
## New To My Collection
### Blu-rays
A stop at Sunrise Records got me 3 new Blurays: Gremlins, It (the original) and The Thing (4k, also the original). (*Also got a a few CDs because why not*). Also decided to get the Godzilla/Kong Monsterverse 5-Film Collector's Edition (4k), and pre-ordered the 4k edition of Beetlejuice Beetlejuice.

Also got Lisa Frankenstein and a special edition of My Neighbor Totoro. And I'm just waiting for the moment to get Freaky (4k).
Was thinking of getting Abigail, but probably wait until end of the year to see if they announce a 4K edition - because I almost bought [[Immaculate (2024)|Immaculate]] and they announced the 4K.
### Digital
For the first time in my life, I bought some digital movies. It started with Scooby Doo And The Ghoul School because it was cheap and the only way to watch it (apart from paying for StackTV on Prime). Also ended up buying the Happy Death Day movie bundle. I loved the first one, but I'm not sure I wanted them in blu-ray, since I don't hav a lot of space, so I got the digital bundle, also as a way to compensate that I watched the first one by... alternative means.
Also added Immaculate to my collection, The Witch and Censor (which is only available to buy/rent, not stream)

### Nice Surprises
Cat People (the original from 1942) was the first movie I watched this month, and it ended up being really interesting. There's a sequel that I want to get to, and I hope I can watch it soon.
[[Apartment 7A (2024)|Apartment 7A]] was really cool. I wasn't expecting it to be as good as it was, considering the lukewarm reception, but I ended up loving it
### Disappointments
Santo's The Fist of Death^[https://letterboxd.com/mister_falcon/film/the-fist-of-death/] was... not good? Too much stuff thrown out together, but in the end, seems like nothing was really happening? Santo was like Saitama from One-Punch Man, just traveling to get there the whole movie, and arriving at the end. It did have *a couple interesting things*, but that's pretty much it.
### Other
First time watching Practical Magic (w/ Sandra Bullock and Nicole Kidman) and that's a GREAT fall/halloween movie. It ropes you in a practical-magic-core vibes and doesn't let you go.
Also first time watching Jennifer's Body and it was def. a fun ride, even if some things might not make much sense. Good to watch the video below after watching it

It was also great to watch Jurassic Park III again. I've only watched it in the theatre when it came out, and it's still a lot of fun!
[[The First Omen (2024)]] completed a 2024 Devil's Baby trilogy (with Immaculate and Apartment 7A), and it was also good. Great to see Neil Tiger Free on more horror, as she was amazing on Servant.
